Search User Interfaces Speaker: Professor Marti Hearst
One of the things that I watched before just like this video is on Search and how it creates user rapport with the website. The idea was when a used goes to a website, and wants to see a specific article or item in that website then there should be a function that deals with it this is why the search button and search text box was born. Because the theory is if a user can’t see it in one website then kiss that user good bye. And the more that the user finds the information they need then they will come back more and more to the website. So being able to create a good search engine or algorithm is one feature that would be able to attract more users.
